Still

November 2nd 2015

Today was a ridiculously productive day considering I only got back from travelling yesterday. I woke up at 10, and before lunch I’d got a job and a new phone.

The job was easy, I just walked into my old workplace and asked if they wanted me back. They did. I start Monday. The phone took longer, but I now have an iPhone 6s. It’s pretty.

Then I went to Costa for lunch, sat down with a coffee and wrote a 2,000 word plan for Book 2. A book which will in some ways tell the story of my travelling experience through a piece of fiction.

It’s NaNoWriMo, and I’m behind because I didn’t start the month with a plan, and I told myself that the next time I wrote a book I’d go into it with a full and proper plan. So before I write, I need to plan. I don’t know when I’ll get to the writing bit, and with work and family stuff I don’t know if I’ll get 50,000 words out before November 30th. But I’ll try. It’s 1,600 words a day which doesn’t seem unreasonable. But it’ll probably have to be closer to 2,000 by the time I actually start writing.

I don’t know why I’m jumping straight into it, I think it’s because travelling has made it so I can’t keep still. I have to always be doing something, for now at least. I’m not used to sitting around the house any more.

Until tomorrow, my parents will be glad to hear that.
