Today I started the 100 pushup challenge. It’s this challenge where at the end of it I’ll be able to 100 pushup. Make sense?

Currently I can do 25 consecutive Pushup, but in 6 weeks time I’ll be able to do 100. That’s the plan, at least.

The program builds you up slowly, so today I did 5 sets. 10, 12, 7, 7, 9+. The + at the end is supposed to signify that you do at least 9, but I did exactly 9. I can confirm that exactly 9 still counts as at least 9.

By the end, I probably could’ve done more. So I noted that in the ‘pushup slogger’ I’ve signed up to.

I’d imagine that because this is such a regimented and strict process, that I’ll be able to finish it – unlike other similar challenges I’ve previously set myself. Plus the fact that a group of us from work are doing it, so there’s extra motivation.

I also need to work on technique a little bit. Currently, my arms are quite wide, which makes it easier. So as well as doing more quantity of pushups, I need to do more quality pushups.

And eventually I’ll be able to do one hundred.
