Today is the third day in a row that I’ve felt like falling asleep at 8pm. I quite easily could’ve fallen asleep at 8pm. I’ve been so tired recently. I don’t really know why. I changed my diet recently in the hope that it would give me more energy, but it seems to have done the opposite. I’m usually more active and awake in the summer time, and depressingly sleepy in the winter, but I’ve not stopped yawning for weeks.

It’s not even that I’m not sleeping much. I’m sleeping more now than I’ve ever done. I get a solid 8 hours most nights now, where at Uni I’d get four hours on a good night, and I’d still wake up the next morning feeling energised.

I say that the phenomenon I’m describing is called ‘aging‘ but I’m only 23, so that can’t be it. It’s also true to say that I’m fitter and more active now than when I was at Uni. I consistently run 30km+ a week, but at Uni the closest I got to exercise was literally completing FIFA 15 on the Xbox.

Perhaps there’s something in Donald Trump’s line of thinking that human beings only have a finite amount of energy, and that exercising is wasting that energy. Maybe he really is smarter than us all.

Or, you know… not.

As well as being tired all the time, I have semi-constant back pain. I think that’s a result of my poor posture and the fact that I sit at a desk all day with my back hunched over like Quasimodo. I also have a habit of sitting on my feet which probably explains why my feet hurt all the time too – that, and the aforementioned 30km+ worth of running, probably.

I’ve also stopped drinking coffee. I know that that doesn’t really contribute to ‘energy’ because it’s more of a fake burst, but I thought it was worth mentioning. I’ve been having these weird comedowns/episodes where I’m just completely drained of all energy 30 minutes after drinking coffee. I think that’s just how coffee works, to be fair.

Either I’m completely falling apart, or I’m just a bit of a drama queen.

Until tomorrow, I’d say it’s probably a bit of both.
