March 17th 2018
Today was a deservedly but uncharacteristically quiet Saturday. Effectively, I just stayed in bed for as long as I could get away with. It was cold. I didn’t even realise it had been snowing until Alice came home after lunch and told me to open the curtains and look out the window. “It’s been snowing!” she said.
It had, indeed, been snowing. I’m really hoping that it stops soon, because I’m supposed to be playing golf in 11 hours, and I’ve not played golf in almost a month now. And, in 2 weeks time I go on a golfing holiday, so I need to get some practice in.
So, it would be really great if the snow stopped sometime soon. It’s halfway through March and we’re still clearing snow off our cars. The weather this year sucks, man.
My only venture outside today was to Aldi to do the weekly shop, and the cold was so bitter I had to pull my scarf up over my ears. Again, it’s March…
Apparently, today it was 15 degrees and raining at the golf resort we’re going to in Portugal. Neither of those parts are particularly optimal conditions, nor is it what I had in mind when we booked the trip, but at this point, I’ll just be glad for no snow.
Until tomorrow, no more snow, is that too much to ask?
