Today, don’t fret, I finally bought a bed. I’ve been saying for the past few days that I’ve been quite relaxed about the fact that I move house on Monday and I’ve not got much prepared, but that’s mostly because I don’t have much to prepare. And now that I actually have a bed there’s even less that I need to prepare.
The bed wasn’t that hard to buy, because I basically knew which one I wanted. It was the mattress that was difficult. Because I didn’t want to spend a load of money, I originally went for a coiled mattress. But I was eventually advised otherwise and paid an extra £60 for memory foam. To begin with I just wanted the cheapest mattress that I could get, but it was pointed out to me that I waste a lot of money on dinner, and drinks, and nights out, but a decent mattress is the kind of thing that it’s worth spending at extra £60 on. So I did.
And don’t get me wrong, £150 for a mattress is still stupid cheap, and it’s not going to be the best quality, but for now it doesn’t need to be. It just needs to be something that I can sleep on when I move into my new place on Monday.
Until tomorrow, I move into a new place on Monday.
