Today it was steak night. To celebrate that it was the first Friday of the week, to cap off an eventful week, and to toast to a mixed bag of a day, I had a glass/bottle of wine with my steak.

Of course it was a rump. The best of all the cuts, in my humble opinion. I made a mushroom/white wine sauce to go with it, and taught myself how to cook a baked potato. I know baked potatoes aren’t difficult, but I rarely use the oven because I’m too impatient for it.

I nailed it though. All round. A proper Friday treat.
