Today I’ve messed up flapjacks v2. I got cocky and tried to freestyle it and wasn’t surgical with my measurements, and even though it’s like the least intensives baking ever, quantities and precision are evidently still important.
What I ended up with, after overcooking an underbuttered flapjack base, was basically a tray full of oaty crumble.
It was crackly and fell apart in your hands. I Think ive decided that instead of eating them as flapjacks I’m going to crumble them into yoghurt and treat it as granola.
I got cocky.
