Today is Christmas Day. What do you mean you forgot? Where were you?
I’m glad that after a difficult, shitty year, I got to spend it with (most of) the people I love most in the world.
I’m at my mum and dad’s. Kirstyn, Steven and Freddie (dog) unexpectedly came over for breakfast.
And then they left and I had a nap before my grandparents arrived. Napping was a key part of my day. I had three in total.
My grandparents arrived and we had a delicious lovingly cooked Christmas dinner.
And then I had another one. I couldn’t just have one course. I’m still so full.
After dinner we all sat and played Yahtzee. Yahtzee is the perfect game for the family. It’s easy to understand, easy to play, and fun to win. I won one. Mum won one. Grandma won one. Dad, do better next year.
While everyone was eating pudding I had another nap. I told you naps were a prominent part of my day. Napping did make it quite difficult to retain any level of drunk, as I’d drink a bit, then nap it off, then drink a bit, then nap it off.
I also slept through cheese and biscuits, which is usually my favourite post-roast food. Though I’d eaten so much at dinner I’m not sure how much I’d’ve managed.
It was a nice day. I hope you had a nice day too, whoever you are.
Until tomorrow, merry Christmas, Feliz Navidad, or whatever you’d prefer.
