Today I re-completed the first two modules of a Python course. I realised that last time I tried to learn Python I learned Python 2, because it was the free version of the course, but now I’m learning Python 3, which isn’t.

It made more sense to just start from scratch. It’s going well so far. It’s quite nice to be learning something again. It’s been a while since I learnt a new skill, and solving a Rubik’s cube doesn’t count. Particularly because that was like 10 years ago.

It’s likely that my Python skills will give me as much practical benefit as solving a Rubik’s cube, but it’s at least potentially more useful in the long run.

It’s also nice to have something to focus on. Headphones in, Python on, and the world is drowned out.
