Today was day one of my three day bank holiday golf weekend.

Three rounds, over three days, in three different counties, with three different people.

Day 1? Not great. I did beat Sam 5&3, and Sam is the best golfer I’ll face this weekend, but mostly it was a competition of who could be the least shit, rather than who could play the best golf.

To sum it up, I lost 3 balls off the tee on the same hole.

Two holes later, I won a hole with an 8.

It was not the finest showing from either of us, but I succeeded in being the least shit.

We played at Llanwern near Newport. Nice course. We’ve been there before, I think.
